India to UK in 90 Days – Montenegro Chapter – Durmitor National Park

Landscapes completely changed as i entered Montenegro, got a rainy welcome as i crossed the border. But it sorted out after couple of kilometers.Next on the card was Durmitor National Park,I continued towards Zabljak.Planned to stay there for the night but got bit late in the night, have to blame the landscapes around.I had to stop at every nook and corner to take the photos.

I crossed Tara canyon just when it was about to get dark,By the time i reached Zabljak,It was pitch dark. The hostel room i booked was been already given to some other blokes. But the owner arranged accommodation for me in his friends apartment for the same price.I had a good company of an old lady over beer.We shared stories in whatever English i can speak and whatever english she could understand. But we laughed over everything as we were speaking and living the language of beer 🙂
A brief good bye in the morning and i was off to ride around Durmitor National park.Spot my friend waving good bye 🙂

But before that a quick walk to the Black Lake (Crno Jezero).Unlike the Morskie Oko Lake in Poland,This was just 5-10 min walk from the parking lot,so easily manageable for lazy bikers like us.

Extremely happy to be surrounded by such natural beauty 🙂

Next up was Pluzine via Prevoj Sedlo mountain pass.I could easily quote this day as the most beautiful day so far.Fantastic views on the both side of road.Winding narrow roads,Mountains all around covered with green grass and the silence and beauty of the nature was absolutely divine.

Met a couple from Bled,Slovenia who invited me to their place for stay.In return i promised to cook some spicy Indian food for them.I wish i had taken a picture with them, good to keep as memory :).We kept meeting one and more times on the road all way until Pluzine.
As you start climbing down towards Pluzine, there are many small tunnels cut through the rocks. There were some hairpin bends too, passing through these rock faces with absolutely no lights, narrow and completely dark.In one such tunnel found one motorcyclist on his GS slipped in one of the hairpin bend. While his friends were ahead,he was struggling to get the bike up.To my surprise he did not switched off the bike after the fall, maybe panicked in situation.I took my off helmet put it on the road 50 mtrs before the motorcycle to alert the oncoming traffic and then helped the GS go back on his feet.Bike was indeed quite heavy :D
A quick thank you and he was off to catch up with his herd.i did not get much chance to ask if he is OK and not hurt.
Lave Piva as i descend towards Pluzine.Totally gorgeous.
